Best USB Audio Device

I have a 128GB iPod classic that holds 13,000 songs. However, the Touring Infotainment center will only play 3 or 4 songs on it before it hangs. Also, every song begins with stuttering and static. This is a MAJOR disappointment. Why didn't Honda just include 3.5mm input?! In my other car, I ran my iPod through a DAC and enjoyed great sound, but now that's not an option.

Anyway, does anyone have experience with a replacement media player, with over 128GB of storage, that will interface...
