Window Tinting Benefits/Brands/Types/What did you pay?

Hey folks- made an appointment to get windows tinted using LLumar ceramic tint with a 5" strip also on the windshield. Just curious what folks are paying, what's the best brand and type, is there truly a benefit when it comes to protecting the interior from UV and is there truly a reduction in heat?

Quoted me $265-$295 for the job...
