So many options for phone integration, so little time

So, there's Bluetooth, WiFi, USB, HFL, HondaLink, AndroidAuto, CarPlay, Siri Eyes Free. And how many options past that point for phonebook, text messaging, etc.? Not to mention Aha and Pandora. (And that's ignoring iPod, SXM and all its options, HD/RDS, etc. And ignoring the vehicle navi.)

I consider myself a gadget freak and a pretty technology savvy person. I own a Nexus phone and who knows how many other networked devices. And to me this just seems hopelessly complicated and...
