I recently installed an aftermarket 9" android head unit and was asked to do a review / overview of features. The price was $325 after shipping from China. The device works with all existing features in the 10th gen civic and adds some other features:

Parting out all the aftermarket items on my CTR. Don't worry I am still keeping it but going back to stock and picking up something different for heavy track duty. All items are used unless stated otherwise. I'm in Reno so would need to be shipped.

There is a comparison on the YouTubes between the Mustang GT and the Type-R. I just spent a week cruising with the Ecoboost version, and I think a similar comparison can be made between this less expensive and lower powered model and the Si. My rental was the convertible version of the 2.5L turbo-4 'Stang.

I'll start by saying that I know the RWD Mustang is a very different car, however the two cars are not that far apart in price, so someone who is looking for sporty fun could easily add...

Selling these wheels after just replacing the tires sadly. 255/35/18 RE71r with less than 500 miles on them.

Wheels are 18x9 +50 in gunmetal. Wheels fit great I had 265/35/18 RS-RR tires on them previously as well no rubbing either way.

$3000 picked up in Reno, NV or can meet in Northern California for gas money. Will ship as well.

2017 Civic Aftermarket Stereo Head Unit?

Has anyone had luck replacing the factory head unit in a 2017 Civic Touring Sport? I have see the posts that discuss different models but not this one in particular. I recently purchased a 10.4 Android head unit only to find that almost nothing works, no right side camera, no sound and of course the Airbag light. I didn't realize it had a digital amplifier until after the fact. Anyway, I am looking at some of the 9 inch models and most say that digital amp needs to be bypassed or others say...

Dont get me wrong I still love the car. But I am about over manual transmissions. and even then i still love manual transmissions, been driving them over 30 years now, it is just where I live.

I live in a metro area with 450k people, the problem is that the area is all mountains and there are only two main roads going through like 5 counties. The two main highway make a big cross and are only 2 lanes wide and are the only way in and out of the entire area from south carolina all the way...

I think Im finally tired of the type R... at least its drive train.

Hi, all.

I just swapped out my stock contis with 245/35/20 DWS06s, and I’m looking to get rid of my stock tires.

I can ship (split shipping) or meet for pickup (23228 area code) 1-4 tires. These had 11k original, easy miles on them. Tread is 5/32, 5/32, 7/32, 7/32, with no punctures or rough abrasion.

Selling for $250 for the set, or $75 per 7/32 tire and $55 per 5/32 tire.

So while waiting for my food order near a quik type shop. Dude pulls in driving a 2019 CW Type R with out of state plates. He gets out and goes inside. I notice he has Borla exhaust. Had a nice chat with him when he came back out. Pleasant fellow. Start-up sounds great... burbly and all. Followed him down the nearby hi way and the car really sounds nice. Not a cheap exhaust but really sounds nice.

I never ever see any Type R's in the wild and the other day coming home from work I spotted 2 in about a 15 min drive all while in the same small city of Olathe , Kansas . Just Thought it was funny. Should have bought a lottery ticket that day ;)

Flooring it at low RPM, higher gear

Maybe I’ve been hanging out in the Civic Si forum too much, but I’ve had this lingering question in the back of my head for awhile now.

If you’re at low RPM, say 2k, in about 3rd gear and you mash the throttle, is it bad for the clutch/engine? Not necessarily WOT either; more like 50-75% throttle pressure (according to the dashboard display).

I know that if you do this in an overdrive gear such as 5th or 6th it can be more harmful, but the other gears I’m unsure of. The only one that I...

I upgraded from an 8th gen to a 10th gen Civic Si in July last year. Often I feel like this was a downgrade besides the wonderful handling, and aggressive modern appearance.

I wanted to list a few of the issues that have really bothered me about the 10th gen after nearly a year of ownership to see if these issues also bother others.

Rust - My car was built two weeks before I picked it up at the dealership, in that time the car already had rust. Rail rust on the ugly chrome...​
