Aftermarket Drop-in Filter vs. Fuel Efficiency

Hello everyone, curious to know if anyone has changed out their factory intake air filter to an aftermarket drop-in filter and saw changes in fuel efficiency?

In my case, I've had a K&N drop-in filter for the past 200 miles or so and I've been averaging about 26-27mpgs on my daily commute. This is my ONLY performance mod by the way. Granted my commute is mostly city driving, and the 26-27 lines up closely with the 28 EPA estimate, but the roads are all 45 - 55mph limit, so it's more like a...

May the Maintenance Minder Gods forgive me, I just couldn't wait until 8K miles. I'm right at 4800 miles and it just flipped over to "50%" remaining. Watched it flip from 60% to 50%, was next to Walmart, hard right turn and a 5 quart jug of Penzoil Ultra full synth 0W-20 and a mobile 1 extended life filter.....and an hour later I was changed out....too late to go back to the dark side. Maybe one of these days I'll trust the technology, but I'm old school. LOL! The bag of nylon...

Hey all, so I'm in the market and very soon to buy a 2016+ Civic. I've got my eye on the 2016 1.5T, and already test driven a 2016 2.0 the other day. And it drove smoothly no complaints at all, not much to say there. This will be a long term vehicle, as well as my daily driver.

In regards to long term reliability, which one has the advantage? Even with regular maintenance of both. I'm leaning more toward the 1.5T, because it obviously has turbo, more power, slightly better mpg, and more...

Help! LTFT at -14 on TSP1

I just got the TSP1 tune on Hondata for SI and my LTFT got down to -14 at one point. I have the K&N SRI ...I know it’s not the greatest but I didn’t do enough research before I bought it. Is this bad or am I over reacting? Is there a way to adjust. I’m a noob btw

My 2018 Type R was sadly totaled a week ago today. It was a Polished Metal Metallic that met its fate at the hands of a Honda Pilot. I was stopped to turn left onto a side street from a main road, and the driver just didn't stop. Plowed into me at 40-50mph. Luckily I just suffered a concussion and whiplash (although my hip is kinda messed up now, gotta get that checked out) and I was otherwise unscathed. Hello to all. I have a cracked windshield. This good old Houston construction. Have a pebble chip I received while driving as well. I bumped a large trashcan backing out of driveway so have a lil dent on the front left fender. Sux. Ha. Two cracked rims. One tire leaks I am currently filling it every 2 days. Soon I’ll take it in and fix it all. Just little things adding up in just 4 thousand miles. That’s all. What little things have y’all had or need to fix cause it’s buggin ya?

Hello Fellow R owners! I was sitting in rush hour traffic Friday when to my left a Civic hatch was next to me, and I began to wonder as I sat motionless for several minutes..
Could a right rear view mirror assembly with the lane watch camera, be installed in a Type R? as in plug and play? Does any one know if the wire harness on an R would support the camera and would the head unit simply work with it?
I've seen people swap out climate controls with an LX version and It was plug and play....

HKS Cold Air Intake Full Kit w/o AFR + Hondata

Its been two weeks since ive installed my HKS intake and used the hondata tune with Eventri base map. Two weeks running fine now I get a CEL code P0101 Mass Air Flow Sensor Circuit Range/Performance. Tried reseting ECU and then test drove it. about 30min after drive the code comes up again. Ideas?? Which base map did you guys use?

I've got a 2019 sport hatch that I'm planning on putting a Kenwood DD headunit in to. I've been reading the DIYs here and looking at integration parts available on Crutchfield's site along with others'. In the past, my success rate with the Metra Axxess SWI adapters has been pretty low. I saw mention of the Scosche LHA20 in another thread and was wondering if anyone else has used this and can give it a thumbs up or down. Looks like the Scosche LHA20 used in conjunction with the backup...

VIT Stage 1 tune (Sport mode) gets better MPG than non sport mode?

I recently started driving in sport mode and immediately realized that I got better miles per gallon than when I drove in normal mode. Normally I would average about 29 miles per gallon however once I started driving in sport mode it went up to around 32 miles per gallon with the same driving style and driving to the same places.

Why is this?

The only recent modification I did Was add a PRL SRI intake (street) Around the same time I started driving in sport mode. Do you think the intake...

Hi all,

I've bought Viofo Duo A129 Dashcam with 3 wire hardwiring kit for parking mode. It has voltage cutoff.

I plan tapping into fuse #1 ACC 10AMP fuse for IGNITION/ACC

but I don't know which fuse to tap for constant power ON. Can someone please guide me?

Ok I do like the stock wheels and probably plan to keep them but not a fan of the thin tires. Was just wondering if anyone tried 245/35 or 255/35 tires on the stock wheels yet? It will give about 1 inch more of rubber protection and comfort compare to the stock ones and with stock height I’m pretty sure there won’t be any rubbing issues and maybe even with a slight 1 inch drop in the future it should be fine. I do understand it will be bigger and the speedometer will be off a lil with bigger...
